At Potomac Candle, every product is handcrafted with care and thoughtfully inspected before it leaves our studio. We want you to love your purchase, and your satisfaction is important to us.
Returns
If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may request a return within 10 days of receiving your order.
To be eligible for a return:
- Items must be unused.
- Proof of purchase is required.
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or we made an error with your order.
Once your return is received and inspected, we'll notify you of the status of your refund.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 5 days of delivery.
To help us resolve the issue quickly, please include:
- Your order number
- A brief description of the issue
- Photos of the damaged item(s) and packaging
We'll gladly replace the item or issue a refund at no additional cost.
Refunds
Approved refunds will be processed to your original method of payment within 5–10 business days, depending on your financial institution.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is the result of our error or a damaged shipment.
Non-Returnable Items
Because of the nature of our handcrafted products, we cannot accept returns on:
- Used candles
- Burned candles
- Opened reed diffusers
- Used room sprays
- Gift cards
- Clearance or final sale items
Order Cancellations
Orders may be canceled before they have been processed for shipment. Once an order has shipped, it must follow the return process outlined above.
